Choices

While everything in life has a consequence, there is also a choice.

That is the beauty of living in America; you have the ability to choose.

Many Americans take this ability for granted.

We, as American citizens, have an abundance of choices that we make daily without even realizing it.

The ability of choice came from our founding fathers when they wrote and added the Bill of Rights to the United States Constitution.

The choices one makes today can and will influence their life in the future, some sooner than later.

Choices of what to wear, what and when to eat, whether to wake up for school or work, whether you will be obedient and study hard in school; will you do the chores your parents asked you to do? Will you go home and do your homework? What time will you decide to go to sleep?

One’s choices can be as simple as that, or one can make a bigger more powerful impact in the world, nation, state, region, community or home.

By making the choice to do good for others and/or making a positive impact on someone else’s life, may also change yours for the better. Good choices make good people. Good people make a great body. Good choices do not have to be as complex as traveling around the world and helping the less fortunate in second and third world countries. Good choices can be as easy as saying “Hi” to someone in the hallway or simply smiling at them. That one random act of kindness can make someone’s day brighter and them happier.

What choice will you make?
